RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN ADDENDUM TO THE
AGREEMENT WITH TYLER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., EDEN DIVISION
TO INSTALL THE INFORUM SYSTEM TO IMPROVE THE ENGINEERING
DEPARTMENT'S PLAN CHECK PROCESS
WHEREAS, in July, 2004 the City contracted with PBS&J to conduct a review
of the Engineering Department's plant check process; and
WHEREAS, in November, 2004, PBS&J issued their report in which it was
concluded that a major deficiency in the plan check process was the lack of a master
electronic database for tracking engineering plan checks; and
WHEREAS, the city entered into a Software License and Use Agreement
(the "Agreement") with Tyler Technologies, Inc., Eden Division on September 27,
2000; and
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that an Addendum to the Agreement be
approved in order for the City to obtain license rights to the InForum Gold System, in
order to allow improvements to the Engineering Department's plan check process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
National City hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an Addendum to the
Agreement with Tyler Technologies, Inc., Eden Division to install the InForum
System to improve the Engineering Department's plan check process. Said
Addendum is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
