HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 2006-221RESOLUTION NO. 2006 — 221 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN DIEGO UNIFIED PORT DISTRICT FOR THE LOAN OF AN ART EXHIBIT ENTITLED "SHIFT CHANGE: WORKING WATERFRONT" BY MING LOWE, FOR DISPLAY IN NATIONAL CITY DURING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, 2006 WHEREAS, the San Diego Unified Port District's yearly 1.1 Million dollar Public Art budget allows for each of the five Port cities, including National City, to experience and display a variety of different Public Art exhibitions, both permanent and temporary; and WHEREAS, the San Diego Unified Port District has offered to loan an art exhibit for display entitled "Shift Change: Working Waterfront", by photographer Ming Lowe, to the City of National City for the month of December, 2006. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement with the San Diego Unified Port District for the loan of an art exhibit entitled "Shift Change: Working Waterfront", by photographer Ming Lowe, to the City of National City for display during the month of December, 2006.
