RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY APPROVING THE SECTION 8
PUBLIC HOUSING AGENCY PLAN (PHA), AND AUTHORIZING
THE SUBMITTAL OF SAID PLAN TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD)
WHEREAS, on October 21, 1998, the U.S. Congress enacted Public Law 105-
276, known as the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act (QHWRA), notifying housing
authorities to prepare and submit a Section 8 Public Housing Agency Plan; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
requires a public hearing to be held in order to receive public input; and
WHEREAS, on April 3, 2007, a public hearing was held for review and
recommendation of the public relative to the proposed Section 8 Public Housing Agency Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Committee (HCDC) has
reviewed the said Plan for any significant amendments or modifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Community Development
Commission of the City of National City hereby approves the Section 8 Public Housing Agency
Plan, and authorizes the CDC Executive Director to submit said plan to the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
