HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 13,114RESOLUTION NO. 13,114 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENT GP-2-79 TO THE NATIONAL CITY GENERAL PLAN The City Council of the City of National City does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City Council has caused and duly held studies and proceedings for the timely amendment of the general plan of the City of National City, pursuant to Title 7, Chapter 3, Article 7, of the Government Code of the State of California; and, WHEREAS, after having provided proper notice of the time and place as provided by law the City Council has held a public hearing to consider said amendment; and, WHEREAS, the City Council did consider all evidence and testimony presented at said hearing including the Planning Department Staff Report; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need and desirability to conduct reviews of, and consider amendments to, the general plan to accommodate the changing needs of the com- munity; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approve an amendment to the National City General Plan and General Plan Map as follows: a. To change from "Park" to "Tourist Commercial" the city property at I-805--and Plaza Boulevard (Assessor's Parcels 557-430-1, 25, 33, and 557-440-56). b. To change from "Residential 6-10 Dwelling Units/ Acre" to "Residential 11-15 Dwelling Units/Acre" the city blocks bounded by 24th Street, "F" Avenue, 26th Street, and "B" Avene, but excluding the properties at 220 through 340 East 24th Street (inclusive); 2511 through 2543 "B" Avenue (inclusive); and 225 East 26th Street. .._ c. To change from "Residential 6-10 Dwelling Units/ Acre" to Residential 11-15 Dwelling Units/Acre" the properties on the north side of 17th Street--1821 thru 1941 (inclusive) -- and south side of 17th Street--1902 thru 1926 (inclusive); and from "Residential 21-30 Dwelling Units/Acre" to "Residential 11-15 Dwelling Units/Acre" the property at 1938 17th Street. d. To add Rapid Transit Station with Parking" to property within the right-of-way of I-5 Freeway and on the north side of Civic Center Drive, and to delete "Park" from this location.
