HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 13,158RESOLUTION NO. 13,158 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO INSTALL CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AS PART OF THE E. J. CHRISTMAN BUSINESS & INDUSTRIAL PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AMENDMENT NO. II WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National City, by adoption of Ordinance No. 1610 on December 13, 1977 approved the Redevelopment Plan for Amendment No. II, E. J. Christman Business & Industrial Park Redevelopment Project; and WHEREAS, as part of said Project and Plan property located at 3110, 3120 and 3182 National City Blvd. was acquired by the Community Development Commission of the City of National City; and WHEREAS, as part of said Project and Plan the Community Development Commission of the City of National City, California, by adoption of Resolution No. 77-46(EJCP II) authorized a Memorandum of Understanding in connection with said property at 3110, 3120 and 3182 National City Blvd. which Memorandum was executed by the parties on July 6, 1978; and WHEREAS, said Memorandum,. at Article IV, requires that the Community Development Commission provide curb and gutter, sidewalk and related appurtenances along National City Blvd. abutting 3110, 3120 and 3182 National City Blvd. and provision of such work was a consideration in the resale value or price of the property; and WHEREAS, Section 3342.1 of the California Community Redevelop- ment Law requires that prior to construction of such curb and gutter, sidewalk and related appurtenances in connection with commercial or industrial redevelopment the legislative body shall have made certain findings; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City, California as follows: (1) The provision of curb and gutter, sidewalk and related appurtenances at 3110, 3120 and 3182 National City Blvd., Assessor's Parcels 562-220-23, 562-220-24 and 562-220-25 respectively, is necessary to effectuate the purposes of the Redevelopment Plan for the E. J. Christman Business & Industrial Park Redevelopment Project, Amendment No. II adopted by City Council Ordinance No. 1610 on December 13, 1977; (2) The Community Development Commission of the City of National. City is authorized and directed to proceed with the•design and eventual installation of said improvements pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Community Development Commission and the Participating Owners James P.
