HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 13,208RESOLUTION NO. 13,208 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT REGARDING A CITY MEASURE. WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election is to be held in the City of National City, California, on April 8, 1980, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said City the following measure: Shall the City implement a 2% . at age 50 years retirement pro-: gram for police officers, at an: YES initial increased annual cost . of $87,000 per year plus an annual cost of living • • • • increase? ' NO NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of the City of National City, hereby authorizes KILE MORGAN JOSEPH L. CAMACHO MICHAEL R. DALLA JESS E. VAN DEVENTER GEORGE H. WATERS members of said body, to file a written argument against the City measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5 of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change said argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City measure may be submitted to the City Clerk. PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THIS EIGHTH DAY OF JANUARY, 1980. Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk At meeting of January 8, 1980 Res. 13,208 was ordered filed.
