RESOLUTION APPROVING NEGOTIATED
PROPERTY TAX EXCHANGE FOR 31ST STREET
ISLAND ANNEXATION AND DETACHMENT (CA 79-1; DD 79-16)
WHEREAS, Section 6.6 of Chapter 1161 of the Statutes of 1979 requires the
negotiation of any exchange of property tax revenues occasioned by jurisdictional
changes between the areas affected; and,
WHEREAS the 31st Island Annexation (CA 79-1) and detachment from the lower
Sweetwater Fire Protection District and San Diego Flood Control District zone 3
(DD-79-16) have been approved by the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO),
pending completion of negotiations for property tax exchange; and,
WHEREAS said negotiations have been conducted which will result in the
property tax exchange as shown in the attached table marked "Exhibit A" and
incorporated herein as though set forth in full.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council agrees to the property
tax exchange as stipulated in Exhibit "A".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Clerk be instructed to forward a
copy of this resolution to the Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 15THIiAY OF JANUARY, 1980.
