A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
AMENDMENT GP-1-79 TO THE NATIONAL CITY
GENERAL PLAN
The City Council of the City of National City does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council has caused and duly held studies and
proceedings for the timely amendment of the general plan of the City of
National City, pursuant to Title 7, Chapter 3, Article 7, of the
GovernmentCodeof the State of California; and,
WHEREAS, after having provided proper notice of the time and place
as provided by law the City Council has held a public hearing to consider
said amendment; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council did consider all evidence and testimony
presented at said hearing including the Planning Commission recommendation
and Planning Department Staff Report; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need and desirability to
conduct reviews of, and consider amendments to, the general plan to accom-
modate the changing needs of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approve an
amendment to the National City General Plan Map as follows:
1. To change from 'Neighborhood Commercial' to 'General Commercial'
the property on the north side of Plaza Boulevard about
300' east of Harbison Avenue, having 414 feet of frontage
on Plaza Boulevard, and depth of 112 feet (Assessor's Parcel
No. 558-030-34, part).
2. To change from 'Residential 6-10' to 'General Commercial'
the properties on the east and west sides of 'A' Avenue
between Plaza Boulevard and llth Street, and on the east
and west sides of 'C' Avenue, and on the west side of 'D'
Avenue between Plaza and 12th, but excluding 1102-04 'C'
Avenue, and 1018 through 1130 'D' Avenue.
3. Add to the 'Historic Sites List' the First Christian
Spiritualist Church at 1236 Coolidge Avenue, and the
John W. Proctor House relocated from 1311 Roosevelt
Avenue to 939 'A' Avenue.
4. To change from 'Residential 1-5 Dwelling Units/Acre' to
'Residential 6-10 Dwelling Units/Acre' the property at
3160 Sweetwater Road (Assessor's Parcel No. 564-320-16).
