HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 12,972RESOLUTION NO. 12,972 RESOLUTION REGARDING THE COLLECTION OF DEVELOPMENT FEES TO RELIEVE SCHOOL DISTRICT OVERCROWDING WHEREAS, the City of National City adopted Ordinance 1622 providing for the collection of development fees to provide temporary school facilities to relieve overcrowding conditions, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that crowded conditions exist in all attendance areas in the National School District, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to impose development fees to provide temporary school facilities within the National School District, to relieve aforementioned overcrowded conditions, and WHEREAS, the National School District has provided the information called for under Ordinance 1622 for review and concurrence therein by the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council finds and determines that: 1. The General Plan provides for the location of public schools; 2. The fees transferred to a school district will be used only for the purpose of providing interim classroom and related facilities; 3. The amount of fees to be paid will bear a reasonable relationship and will be limited to the needs of the community for interim school facilities and will be reasonably related and limited to the need for schools caused by the development; 4.
