HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 12,909RESOLUTION NO. 12,909 RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX THE UNINCORPORATED ISLAND LOCATED SOUTH OF 31ST STREET, EAST OF NATIONAL AVENUE. WHEREAS, said island does not exceed 100 acres in area; is surrounded by National City and Chula Vista; is substantially developed, is not prime agricultural land; and will benefit from such annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of National City proposes the annexation of the territory more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein as though set forth in full, and authorizing the payment of all filing fees associated therewith. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 14th DAY OF NOV BER, 1978. OR ATTEST: EXHIBIT "A" All that portion of Quarter Section 151 and 152 of Rancho De La Nacion, per Map thereof Number 166, filed in the Office of .the County Recorder of San Diego County, California, May 11, 1869, described as follows: Commencing at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 1, Block 2 of Cope- land's Subdivision, per Map thereof Number 978, filed with said County Recorder, March 22, 1916; Thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said Lot 1, 26 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; Thence continuing Easterly along said Northerly line of said Lot 1 and its Easterly pro- longation, 264 feet more or less to a point of intersection with the Easterly line of the Westerly Half of 10 Acre Lot 8 of said Quarter Section 152; Thence Northerly along said Easterly line of the Westerly Half, 40 feet more or less to a point of intersection with the Northerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 8; Thence Easterly along said Northerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 8, 330 feet more or less to a point of intersection with the Westerly line of the Easterly Quarter of said 10 Acre Lot 8; Thence Southerly along said Westerly line, 330 feet more or less to a point of intersection with the Southerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 8; Thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 8, 330 feet more or less to a point of intersection with the Easterly line of the Westerly Half of 10 Acre Lot 1 of said Quarter Section 151; Thence Southerly along said last mentioned Easterly line, 330 feet more or less to a point of intersection with the Souhterly line of said 10 Acre Lot 1; Thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 1, 620 feet more or less to a point on a line which is paral- lel with and 40 feet Easterly of the Westerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 1; Thence Northerly along said parallel line, 330 feet more or less to a point of intersection with the Northerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 1; Thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 1, 356 feet more or less to a point on a line which lies parallel with and 26 feet Easterly of the Westerly line of said Lot 1 of said Block 2 of said Copeland's Subdivision and its Southerly prolongation; Thence Northerly in a straight line, 290 feet more or less to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. 44S
