HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 12,944RESOLUTION NO. 12,944 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMENDMENT GP-3-78 TO THE NATIONAL CITY GENERAL PLAN The City Council of the City of National City does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City Council has caused and duly held studies and proceedings for the timely amendment of the general plan of the City of National City, pursuant to Title 7, Chapter 3, Article 7, of the Government Code of the State of California; and, WHEREAS, after having provided proper notice of the time and place as provided by law the City Council has held a public hearing to consider said amendment; and, WHEREAS, the City Council did consider all evidence and testimony presented at said hearing including the Planning Commission recommendation and Planning Department Staff Report; and, WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need and desirability to conduct reviews of, and consider amendments to, the general plan to accom- modate the changing needs of the community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approve an amendment to the National City General Plan Map as follows: 1. To change from "General Commercial" to "Residential 6-10 Dwelling Units/Acre" the properties on the west side of "I" Avenue--2806 through 2840 inclusive, and the property at 824-832 28th Street. 2. To change from Residential Density 11-15 to Residential Density 6-10 the properties bounded by 20th Street, "L" Avenue, 21st Street, and the north -south alley in the block between Highland Avenue and "I" Avenue. 3. To change from Residential Density 21-30 to Residential Density 6-10 the following areas: . South side of 16th Street - 1828 through 1948 inclusive. . North side of 17th Street - 1821 through 1941 inclusive. . South side of 17th Street - 1902 through 1926 inclusive. . South side of 16th Street - 1604 through 1718 inclusive. . South side of 17th Street - 1612 through 1714 inclusive; 1765 Palm. 4. To change from Residential Density 20 to Residential Density 10 the city blocks bounded by 24th Street, "F" Avenue, the easterly prolongation of the centerline of 25th Street, and "B" Avenue. (Excludes 220 through 340 East 24th Street, inclusive.) 5. To change from Residential Density 11-15 to Residential Density 6-10 the properties in the blocks bounded by "F" Avenue, 26th Street, "B" Avenue, and the easterly prolongation of the center- line of 25th Street. (Excluding the properties fronting on "B" Avenue--2511 through 2545 inclusive and at 225 East 26th Street.) 6. To change from "Residential 31-40 Dwelling Units/Acre" to "General Commercial" the west half of the property at 2026 Highland Avenue. 7. To change from "Neighborhood Commercial" to "Residential 6-10 Dwelling Units/Acre" the commercial zoned properties on the south side of 18th Street between Lanoitan and Granger Avenues, but excluding the properties at 2602-04 and 2730 through 2754-1/2 18th Street, and at 1810 Granger Avenue. (Includes 2608 through 2710 18th Street, 1817 Lanoitan and the vacant parcel adjoining the east side of 1817 Lanoitan.) 8. To change from "Conservation - Open Space" to "Residential 6-10 Dwelling Units/Acre" the property at 3110 Sweetwater Road (Assessor's Parcels 564-300-10 and 564-320-20) 9. To change from "Residential 6-10 and 16-20 Dwelling Units/Acre" to "Residential 11-15 Dwelling Units/Acre" the properties on the south side of Melrose Street - 902 through 940 inclusive. 10. To change from "General Commercial" and "Light Industrial" to "Residential 6-10 Dwelling Units/Acre" the entire area of "F" Avenue Annexation, but excluding the vacant parcel to the rear of the properties at 3117, 3131, and 3143 "F" Avenue. Includes the properties on the south side of 30th Street--506 through 696 inclusive --and on "F" Avenue--3005 through 3143 inclusive. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 19TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1978.
