RESOLUTION GRANTING ZONE VARIANCE PURSUANT TO
THE LAND USE CODE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
(Z-5-78, to allow development of a two -car carport having
an inside width of 17' in lieu of the required 18' at the
rear of 1019 East 18th Street - Del Sol Construction Co.)
The City Council of the City of National City
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
1. That practical difficulties, unnecessary
hardship and a result inconsistent with the general purpose
and intent of the Land Use Code of the City of National
City would occur through strict application of the provisions
of said Code to that certain real property hereinafter des-
cribed.
2. That a Petition requesting a variance has been
filed pursuant to the provisions of the Land Use Code and
said petition complies with all the requirements of said
Code.
3. That the National City Planning Commission
did hold a hearing on said Petition and did recommend to
the City Council that a variance be granted.
4. That the granting of a variance with reference
to the property hereinafter described will not defeat, but
rather will carry out the general intent and purpose of the
National City Land Use Code, will provide fro the public
safety and welfare and will administer substantial justice.
5. That a variance from the provisions of said
Land Use Code be and hereby is granted with reference to
all the certain real property situated in the City of National
City, California, more particularly described as follows:
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NO. 561-080-7
The Easterly 25 feet of Lots 8, 9, and 10
and all of Lot 11 of Block "C" of Beermaker's
Subdivision per Map thereof Number 317, filed
with the County Recorder's Office of San Diego
County, California, July 19, 1887.
6. That the variance hereby granted is as follows:
To allow the development of a two -car carport having an inside
width of 17' in lieu of the required 18', at the rear of
1019 East 18th Street, subject to the following conditions:
a. Four (4) inch pipe columns shall be located
no closer than three and a half feet (3-1/2')
to the opening of the stalls.
b. Development shall be in accordance with sub-
mitted plans.
