RESOLUTION AMENDING VARIOUS .RESOLUTIONS OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY REGARDING THE COLLECTION
OF FEES AND COSTS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of National City that the following enumerated
resolutions are amended to provide for the collection
of the fees hereinafter set forth:
BUILDING AND HOUSING DEPARTMENT
1. Microfilm filing and Process Fee. Res-
olution No. 11,720 is amended -to provide a fee for
microfilm filing and process services as follows: $.25
per page 8-1/2" x 11"; $3.00 per page 12" x 18"; $5.00
per page 18" x 24".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following
fees set by administrative policy are hereby amended as
follows:
BUILDING AND HOUSING DEPARTMENT
1. Facility Rentals. Monthly rental fee for
Kimball Hall is amended to provide a fee of $75 for
community building rental service; Kimball Hall annex
policy is amended to provide a fee of $50 for community
building rental service; kitchen policy is amended to
provide a fee of $25 for community building rental service.
2. Hourly Rentals.
(a) Main Hall $50 minimum + $5/hr
over 5 hours + custodial
charges
(b) Annex $30 minimum + $3/hr
over 5 hours + custodial
charges
(c) Kitchen $30 minimum + $3/hr
over 5 hours.
A refundable kitchen
cleaning deposit in the
amount of $50 is required.
PLANNING DEPARTMENT
L. Zoning Maps. Administrative policy is amended
to provide for a fee of $4 for the zoning map.
2. Land Use Codes. Administrative policy
is amended to provide for a fee of $5.00 for the land
use code book.
RECREATION
1. Classes. Administrative policy concerning
baton, ballet, ballroom dancing, tap dancing, jazz, judo
and ceramic classes is amended to provide a fee of $6.00
per quarter for said services.
2. Tiny Tots. Administrative policy is amended
to provide a fee of $15 for tiny tot program services.
3. Pool Admission Fee. Administrative policy
is amended to provide 500 admission fee to swimming pool
use services.
4. Swim Lessons. Administrative policy is
amended to provide fees of $6.00 per session for swim
lesson services.
POLICE DEPARTMENT
1 Report Copies- Administrative policy is
amended to provide $3.00 per page and $1.50 for additional
pages for report copies services.
2. Finger Printing. Administrative policy
is amended to provide fees of $6.00 for finger printing
services.
3. Photographs. Administrative policy is
amended to provide fees -of $10.00 for first photograph
and $5.00 for additional prints for photographic services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following policy
on the collection of new fees and services are established
as follows:
PLANNING DEPARTMENT
1. Annexation. A new fee is hereby established
to provide a fee of $50.00 for annexation services.
2. Land Use Inquiry (Long Form). A new fee
is hereby established to provide a fee of $10.00 for land
use inquiry (long form) services.
3. Certificate of Compliance. A new fee
is hereby established to provide a fee of $25.00 for
certificate of compliance services.
4. General Plan Maps. A new fee of $2.00
is hereby established for the general plan map.
5. Street Maps. A new fee of $2.00 is
hereby established for street map prints.
BUILDING AND HOUSING DEPARTMENT
1. A policy known as "Building Valuation
Multipliers" -is hereby revised to provide fees for
building permit valuation purposes. Said policy is
attached hereto -as Exhibit "A" and adopted by refer-
ence as though set forth in full herein.
2. Mobile Stage (Rental plus labor.) A
new policy is hereby established to provide a fee of
$50.00 plus labor for mobile stage rental services.
3. Bleacher Rental. A new policy is hereby
established to provide a fee of $50.00 plus labor for
bleacher rental services.
4. Tree Spade Rental. A new policy is hereby
established to provide a fee of $200.00 per day plus
labor for tree spade rental services.
ENGINEERING
1. 200 Scale Topo Maps. A new policy is
hereby established to provide a fee of $5.00 for 200
scale topo map services
2. 'D' Sheets. A new policy is hereby estab-
lished to provide a fee of $1.00 each for 'D' sheet service.
3. 'L' Sheets. -A new policy is hereby estab-
lished to provide a fee of $1.00 each for 'L' sheet service.
4. Street Design Standards. A new policy is
hereby established to provide a $4.00 per set fee for
street design standard service.
5. General Conditions. A new policy is hereby
established to provide a $4.00 per set fee for general
conditions services.
6. Standard Drawings. A new policy is hereby
established to provide a $1.00 each fee for standard
drawing services.
7. Street, Sewer, Storm Design Drawings. A
new policy is established to provide fees of $2.00 for
street, sewer,storm and design drawings.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amending fee
schedule will not apply to permits which have been applied
for as of the adoption of this Resolution.

PILE FOUNDATIONS - Increase the valuation by $7.05 per lineal foot of pile for
cast -in -place concrete piles and $17.60 per lineal foot of pile for steel and
pre -cast concrete piles:
Apply other dwelling cost modifiers as follows:
Fireplace: $1,200 each fireplace over two
Bathroom: $1,500 each bathroom over three
Multi -Story Buildings: Determine the valuation from
the sum of the floor areas of all the stories.
Tract Dwellings, 10 or More Units: Reduce the valuation
by 10% provided all permits are issued at the same
time. Plan check fee for every tract building permit
to be 1/2 of building permit fee.
VALUATION FOR ADDITIONS TO EXISTING RESIDENCES (TYPE V)
Instructions:
1. Determine floor area for valuation as a product of exterior dimensions.
2. Determine appropriate basic cost/sq. ft. from table below.
3. Compute basic valuation as product of cost/sq. ft. and floor area.
4. Add applicable costs for proposed work in excess of basic structure
valuation (see list below table).
