RESOLUTION GRANTING ZONE VARIANCE PURSUANT TO
THE LAND USE CODE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
(ZC-15-76, Variance from off-street parking ratio and park-
ing design standards at 1009 East 8th Street - Teddy L.
Bradt, Aaron Ambulance)
The City Council of the City of National City
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
1. That practical difficulties, unnecessary
hardship, and a result inconsistent with the general purpose
and intent of the Land Use Code of the City of National
City would occur through strict application of the pro-
visions of said Code to that certain real property here-
inafter described.
2. That a Petition requesting a variance has
been filed pursuant to the provisions of the Land Use Code
and said petition complies with all the requirements of
said Code.
3. That the National City Planning Commission
did hold a hearing on said Petition and did recommend to
the City Council that a variance be granted.
4. That the granting of a variance with refer-
ence to the property hereinafter described willnot defeat,
but rather will carry out the general intent and purpose
of the National City Land Use Code, will provide for the
public safety and welfare and will administer substantial
justice.
5. That a variance from the provisions of said
Land Use Code be and hereby is granted with reference to
all the certain real property situated in the City of
National City, California, more particularly described as
follows:
The southerly 90.00 Feet of the westerly 75.00
Feet of the Southwest Quarter of block 6 of the
SUBDIVISION OF 20-ACRE LOT 4 in Quarter Section
131 of the Rancho De La Nacion, in the City of
National City, County of San Diego, State of
California, according to the Map thereof No. 615
filed in the office of the County Recorder of said
San Diego County on October 7, 1889.

6. That the variance hereby granted is as
follows: To reduce the required off-street parking ratio
from one space for each 400 square feet of gross floor
area to one employee parking space; and, to allow tandem
parking of commercial vehicles where one vehicle must be
moved to provide access and/or egress for the other vehicle;
and, to reduce the back-up turnaround area required for a
90 degree parking site from 24 feet to 13 feet.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of February, 1977.
