HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 12,592RESOLUTION NO. 12,592 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF ORIGINAL DESIGN AND INTENT OF THE SOUTH COUNTY REGIONAL CENTER AS EMBODIED IN SUPERVISOR HAMILTON'S RECOMMENDATIONS WHEREAS, on December 1, 1977, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors held a conference on the service program requirements of the South County and East County Regional Centers, and WHEREAS, Tom Hamilton, Supervisor, First District did at said conference, submit his recommendations as follows: 1. Continue to implement existing plans to provide 148 detention beds with expansion capacity to 200 beds. 2. Complete all ten municipal courts, which includes Traffic and Arraignment Courts and four "Superior" Courts in municipal court configuration and finish balance of "Superior" Courts and support area as open office space to reduce County lease areas wherever possible. 3. Complete the District Attorney's building and use as originally planned to avoid a second move, and remodel to relocate tenant now proposed for temporary occupancy on third floor Courthouse area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City hereby supports the original design and intent of the South County Regional Center as embodied in the above recommendations as presented by Supervisor Hamilton. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of December, 1977. ATTEST:
