RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING GENERAL PREVAILING
RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR PUBLIC WORKS
CONTRACTS AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION 10,282
WHEREAS, California law requires that not less than
the general prevailing rate of per diem wages be paid to all
workmen employed on public works, and
WHEREAS, as a result of the passage of Assembly Bill
2363 on June 25, 1976 and effective January 1, 1977, awarding
bodies must obtain determinations for each craft, classification
and type of worker needed to execute any contract for public
work from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of National that pursuant to the requirements of
Sections 1770, 1773, 1773.1 and 1773.6 of the Labor Code of the
State of California, the General Wage Determination made by
the Director of Industrial Relations for awarding any contract
for public work, or otherwise undertaking any public work, is
on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City as provided
for in Section 1773.2 of the Labor Code and said determination
shall govern for all contracts for public work in the City of
National City.
