RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE
CONVEYANCE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY TO THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY FOR SENIORS HOUSING FACILITIES AND
FOR OTHER PUBLIC PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Community Development Commission of the City
of National City, California, hereinafter called "CDC", is carrying out
the Center City Redevelopment Project pursuant to a Redevelopment Plan
adopted by City Council Ordinance No. 1505 adopted April 13, 1976; and
WHEREAS, said Redevelopment Plan provides for seniors housing
to be constructed on land owned by the City and located between 13th
Street, 14th Street, D Avenue and F Avenue and between 14th Street,
15th Street, D Avenue and E Avenue and the voters of the City of
National City, on May 31, 1977 approved the construction of 300 such
housing units within the City; and
WHEREAS, said Redevelopment Plan provides for a southeasterly
extension of 12th Street to 14th Street (Kimball Way) and provides
for continued access to the Montgomery Ward Store at 13th Street and F
Avenue and for the landscaping and maintenance of public property
abutting roadways including said Kimball Way; and
WHEREAS, the above described City owned land is needed, at
this time, by the Community Development Commission for said Seniors
Housing, public street, access driveway and landscape purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City is
hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a grant deed
conveying to the Community Development Commission of the City of
National City the City's interest in the property shown on the plat
attached hereto and marked Exhibit A and described in the description
attached hereto and marked Exhibit B.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
Block 1 of the westerly half of 10 acre Lot 10 and Blocks 1 and 2 of the
westerly half of 10 acre Lot 11 of D.E. Lozier's Subdivision, in the City
of National City, County of San Diego, State of California according to
Map thereof No. 1105 filed in the office of the County Recorder of said
County together with the streets, avenues and alleys adjoining said Blocks
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerlines of 14th Street and
"E" Avenue as shown on said Map No. 1105; thence South 17° 57'00" East
along the centerline of said "E" Avenue 331.46 feet to the centerline of
15th Street; thence South 72° 14'25" West 331.89 feet to the centerline of
"D" Avenue; thence North 17°46'54" West along said centerline 660.92
feet to the centerline of 13th Street; thence along said centerline North
72° 04'09" East 330.70 feet to said centerline of "E" Avenue; thence North
72° 02'59" East 331.15 feet along the northerly line of 10 acre Lot 11 to
the northwesterly corner of the easterly half of 10 acre Lot 11 of Quarter
Section 154 of Rancho de la Nacion, according to. Map No. 166 filed in the
office of said County Recorder; thence South 17°48'30" East along the
westerly line of said easterly half 330.56 feet to the centerline of said
14th Street; thence along said line South 72°04'10" West 331.09 feet to the
point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom that portion described as follows:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of the above described land; thence
along the easterly line thereof South 17° 48'30" East 85.56 feet; thence
South 29° 50'08" West 120.36 feet to a point in the arc of a 780 foot radius
curve concave southwesterly, a radial line of said curve bears North
50°29'57" East to said point; thence northwesterly along the arc of said
curve 146.71 feet; thence leaving said curve North 33°42'48" East 44.64 feet
to a tangent 230 foot radius curve concave southerly; thence easterly along
the arc of said curve 13.64 feet to the northerly line of the above described
land; thence North 72° 02'59" East 109.76 feet to the point of beginning.
