RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT
(Abatement of Public Nuisance at 229 East Third St.,
Assessor's Parcel No. 556-110-08)
WHEREAS, N. S. BIGGS, acting as Director of
Building and Housing of the City of National City, California,
has heretofore filed in the office of the City Clerk of
National City a report for that certain abatement of public
nuisance on real property at 229 East Third Street, Lots
11 through 15, Block 3, Map 801, Pearson's Subdivision
(Assessor's Parcel No. 556-110-08) done under and pursuant
to Chapters 15 and 16 of the Uniform Housing Code, 1973
Edition, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1423 of the City of
National City, and
WHEREAS, after the filing of said report, the
City Clerk has, as required by law, given notice of the
filing of said report and of the time fixed in said
notice for hearing by this City Council and affidavits
of publication and mailing of such notice have been made
and are on file in the office of the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed in such
notice a hearing was duly held by this City Council at
which all written appeals, protests or objections, if
any, were duly presented and read, and all persons desiring
to be heard thereon were heard, and this City Council gave
all persons present an opportunity to be heard in respect
to any matter relating to said work or improvement to any
act or determination of the Director of Building and
Housing of the City of National City in relation thereto,
to the contract for said work or the performance of said
contract, to the correctness of the said report or said
assessment, or to any other act, determination or proceed-
ings of said Director of Building and Housing, or to any
matter relating to said work, the assessment, or the pro-
ceedings therefor, and
WHEREAS, all such persons desiring to be heard
have been heard by this City Council, and this City Council
is fully informed in the premises,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
National City, California, DOES HEREBY FIND, RESOLVE, DETER-
MINE AND ORDER, as follows:
That said hearing has been duly held; that each
and every step in the proceeding prior to and including the
hearing has been duly and regularly taken; that this City
Council is satisfied with the correctness of the assessment,
the report, the proceedings and all matters relating thereto,
and all protests, objections, or appeals be and the same
are hereby overruled and denied, this City Council does
hereby confirm said proceedings and said assessment and
assesses the cost of such abatement, less the amount received
from the sale of any building materials upon the said
property, plus administrative costs, and the same has not
been paid nor any part thereof; and the said City of National
City does hereby claim a lien on said real property for the
net
expense of doing of said work in the sum of $1,086, and
the same shall be a lien upon said real property until the
said sum, with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, from
the 28th day of June, 1977, has been paid in full and
discharged of record.
That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to give and record the Notice of Assessment as
provided in Chapters 15 and 16 of the Uniform Housing Code,
1973 Edition, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1423 of the City
of National City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of June, 1977.

NOTICE OF ASSFSSMENT
Pursuant to the authority vested in the Director
of Building and Housing of the City of National City, California,
by Chapters 15 and 16 of the Uniform Housing Code, 1973 Edition,
as adopted by Ordinance No. 1423 of the City of National City,
the Director of Building and Housing did on the 6th day of May,
1977, cause a nuisance to be abated on the real property herein-
after described; and the City Council of the City of National City
did on the 28th day of June, 1977, by adoption of Resolution No.
/ Y 3 95 , "RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT," assess the cost
of such abatement, less the amount received from the sale of any
building materials upon the real property hereinafter described,
plus administrative cost, and the same has not been paid nor any
part thereof; and the said City of National City does hereby claim a
lien on said real property for the net expense of doing of said
work in the sum of $1,086, and the same shall be a lien upon said
real property until the said sum, with interest at the rate of
6% per annum, from the said 28th day of June, 1977, has been paid
in full and discharged of record. The real property hereinbefore
mentioned and upon which a lien is claimed, is that certain piece
or parcel of land lying and being in the City of National City,
County of San Diego, State of California, and particularly described
as follows:
229 East Third Street, National City, CA.
Lots 11 through 15, Block 3, Map 801, Pearson's Subdivision
Assessor's Parcel No. 556-110-08
