RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL
CITY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC HEALTH TO ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF
ORDINANCE NO. 1509 REQUIRING AN ANNUAL PERMIT FOR THE
OPERATION OF A PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL WITHIN THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY
The City Council of the City of National City
does hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore entered into
an agreement with San Diego County providing for the
County to carry out public health services in the City
of National City, including enforcement by appropriate
County officials of certain City ordinances relating to
public health, and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted Ordinance No. 1509
requiring an annual permit for the operation of a public
swimming pool and establishing a fee therefor, and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary for the City Council
to request that the San Diego County Director of Public
Health enforce the provisions of Ordinance No. 1509;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of National City, California does
hereby formally request the Board of Supervisors to
direct the San Diego County Director of Public Health
to enforce the provisions of Ordinance No. 1509 in the
City of National City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council
does hereby authorize said appropriate officials and
employees to enforce said Ordinance within the incorpor-
ated area of the City, and collect such fees as are
specified therein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council
does hereby certify that said Ordinance No. 1509 requir-
ing an annual permit to operate a public swimming pool
and establishing a fee therefor is comparable and com-
patible with the San Diego County Ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk
of the City of National City be, and she is hereby
authorized and directed to forward a certified copy
of this resolution to the San Diego Board of Supervisors.
