A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY APPROVING PLANS
TO MODIFY LAS PALMAS GOLF COURSE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY FOR SAID
COURSE
WHEREAS, on July 23, 1963 the City did enter into
an agreement with G.M.U., Inc. for the purpose of leasing
approximately thirty-two acres of City owned park land for
the purpose of operating a public golf course known as Las
Palmas Golf Course, and
WHEREAS, said lease was amended on October 6, 1964
and December 27, 1966, and
WHEREAS, said lease as amended, provides that the
lessee shall construct, operate and maintain a nine hole golf
course together with ancillary facilities, and
WHEREAS, said lease provides that amendments or
changes in the design of the course must be approved by the
City, and
WHEREAS, the lessee has presented the City with
plans to relocate the driving range and clubhouse facilities
to the southerly portion of the leased premises, redesign
the course layout and construct an additional nine golf
holes, and
WHEREAS, said plans have been reviewed and approved
by appropriate departments of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to execute on behalf of the City a revised lease for the
golf course premises, said lease identifying by exhibit the
approved plans for course design.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to record said lease in the Office of the
Recorder, County of San Diego.
A copy of said lease shall be on file in the
Office of the City Clerk for all particulars contained
therein and by reference incorporated hereto as if fully
set forth herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July,
1976.
