HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 12,107RESOLUTION NO. 12,107 RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF NATIONAL CITY EXPRESSING OFFICIAL POSITION ON STATE BUDGETING PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STATE FREEWAY ROUTES 5, 54 AND 252 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City as follows: That National City urgently supports State budgeting for the full $340 million program contained in CPO's Transporta- tion Improvement Plan adopted in March, 1976; That National City strongly protests, on the basis of devastating social and economic impacts that would result, any delay in the construction of State Freeway Routes 5, 54 and 252; That National City insists that said Routes be main- tained in Caltrans "six year plan" at least sufficiently to qualify those projects for Interstate Highway funds that may become available within that time. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to Assemblyman Wadie P. Deddeh and Senator James R. Mills.
