A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY SETTING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A
JOINT PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AND THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL
CITY ON A REDEVELOPMENT PLAN AND A RELOCATION
PROGRAM FOR THE CENTER CITY PROJECT, A
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AND PROVIDING FOR JOINT
NOTICES OF SAID HEARING
WHEREAS, the planning of the Center City Project,
a Redevelopment Project, has been substantially completed,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Community
Development Commission of the City of National City desire to
conduct a joint public hearing to consider adoption of a
Redevelopment Plan and a Relocation Program for the Center
City Project, and
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment
Law provides that public notices of the hearing shall be
published in a local newspaper and that assessees and
taxing agencies shall be notified of the hearing, and
WHEREAS, certain notices are required to be
published and mailed prior to such a public hearing, and
WHEREAS, certain notices are required to be
mailed and circulated subsequent to the adoption of a
Redevelopment Plan, and
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Community
Development Commission of the City of National City desire
that all such notices to the fullest extent practical
and possible be jointly published and promulgated by the
City Clerk of the City of National City and the Secretary
of the Community Development Commission of the City of
National City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of National City as follows:
SECTION 1. A joint public hearing will be held
by the City Council of the City of National City and the
Community Development Commission of the City of National
City at 7:45 p.m., April 6, 1976 in the Council Chambers
of the Civic Center, 1243 National Avenue, National City,
California, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to
publish notices of said public hearing in the National
City Star -News not less than once each week for four
successive weeks prior to this hearing, and to mail notices
of the hearing to the addresses of the last known assessees
and to taxing agencies which levy taxes on property in the
project area.
SECTION 2. To the fullest extent practical all
notices precedent to and notices subsequent to the holding
of a joint public hearing and adoption of a Redevelopment
Plan for the Center City Project, a Redevelopment Project,
shall be accomplished by joint notice of the City Clerk
of the City of National City and the Secretary of the
Community Development Commission of the City of National
City.
