HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 11,998RESOLUTION NO. 11,998 RESOLUTION GRANTING ZONE VARIANCE PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 962 (Z-1-76, to allow demolition of nine existing single family dwellings without the necessity of subdividing, at 2512 through 2735 Hill Drive, a private street) The City Council of the City of National City does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows: 1. That practical difficulties, unnecessary hardship, and a result inconsistent with the general purpose and intent of Ordinance No. 962 would occur through strict application of the provisions of said Ordinance to that certain real property hereinafter described. 2. That a Petition requesting a variance has been filed pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Ordinance No. 962 and said petition complies with all the requirements of said section. 3. That the National City Planning Commission did hold a hearing on said Petition and did recommend to the City Council that a variance be granted. 4. That the granting of a variance with reference to the property hereinafter described will not defeat, but rather will carry out the general intent and purpose of the National City Zoning Ordinance, will provide for the public safety and welfare and will administer substantial justice. 5. That a variance from the provisions of said Ordinance No. 962 be and hereby is granted with reference to all the certain real property situated in the City of National City, California, more particularly described as follows: A portion of Quarter Section 105, Rancho de la Nacion, as shown on Map 166, Records of San Diego County, California. Beginning at the intersection of the most Southerly line of Record of Survey No. 1648 and the Westerly line of the East 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the South 1/2 & said Quarter Section 105, thence Easterly along said Southerly line to its intersection with the Westerly line of the Easterly 175.75 feet of the Westerly 1/4 of the Easterly 1/2 of the Southerly 1/2 of said Quarter Section 105; thence Southerly along said Westerly line 140 feet to an intersection with a line parallel with the centerline of said Quarter Section 105; thence Easterly along said parallel line to its intersection with the Easterly line of aforesaid Westerly 1/4; thence Southerly along the said Easterly line to the Northerly line of 6th Street; thence Westerly along said Northerly line 60 feet to the Westerly line of Arcadia Avenue; thence Southerly along the said Westerly line to its intersection with the Southerly line of the North 1/2 of the South 1/2 of said Quarter Section 105; thence Westerly along said Southerly line to an intersection with the aforesaid Westerly line of the East 1/2 of the West 1/2 of the South 1/2 of said Quarter Section 105 thence Northerly along said Westerly line to the point of beginning. 6. That the variance hereby granted is as follows: To allow demolition of nine existing single family dwellings without the necessity of subdividing, at 2512 through 2735 Hill Drive, a private street.
