HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 11,770RESOLUTION NO. 11,770 RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE NATIONAL CITY GENERAL PLAN DATED SEPTEMBER, 1974, AND GENERAL PLAN MAP 1973-74. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY THAT an amendment to the National City General Plan and General Plan map is hereby approved as follows: 1. To show C-4 (Wholesale Commercial) zoned area near the north- easterly corner of 30th Street and "A" Avenue for "General Commercial" use, as shown on the map on file in the City Clerk's office as Document No. 55688. 2. To show a portion of the unincorporated properties at the northeasterly corner of Prospect Street and Sweetwater Road for "Commercial" use, as shown on the map on file in the City Clerk's office as Document No. 55688. 3. To show the parcel of property on the southerly side of 9th Street, opposite "K" Avenue, for Residential, 11-15 dwelling units/net acre, as shown on the map on file in the City Clerk's office as Document No. 55688. 4. To show a portion of the TC-PD (Tourist Commercial Planned Development) zoned property on the southerly side of Plaza Boulevard east of I-805 for "General Commercial" use, as shown on the map on file in the City Clerk's office as Document No. 55688. 5. To show the San Diego Gas & Electric Company's Lincoln Acres Substation located near the corner of 18th Street and Lanoitan Avenue as a "Public Utility" use, as shown on the map on file in the City Clerk's office as Document No. 55688. 6. To show the parcel at the southeasterly corner of 31st Street and National Avenue for "Automobile and Related Commercial" use, as shown on the map on file in the City Clerk's office as Document No. 55688. 7. To add the Sweetwater Road/Edgemere Avenue Redevelopment Survey Area to Figure 1 "Redevelopment Survey Areas" (opposite page 14) of the General Plan text, as shown on the map on file in the City Clerk's office as Document No. 55688. 8. To amend the text of the General Plan to delete the second "Assumption" listed under "Housing" on page 9 that "Housing and industrial uses will not be able to co -exist on the West side." 9. To add to the General Plan the "Compatibility Matrix" referred hereto as Document No. 55689,on file in the City Clerk's office, which lists each of the zones that can be considered as being compatible with each of the various land use classifications shown on the General Plan map. 10. To modify in the text of the General Plan Chapter III: Land Use - the statement on page 16, "It is intended that areas designated for 1-5 and 6-10 dwelling units per net acre be limited to single family develop- ment of one unit per lot" by adding the following phrase: however, where zoning allows, all lots that are not subdividable into standard size lots and all lots where subdivision would result in lots with a depth of more than three times the frontage, which lots contain from 10,000 to 15,000 square feet, may have two dwelling units per lot, and which lots contain above 15,000 square feet, may have the number of units proportional to a density of 10 dwelling units/acre."
