RESOLUTION GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO.
1974-6 FOR THE OPERATION OF A PUBLIC SCALE AT
823 WEST 17TH STREET
(Scrap Disposal)
The City Council of the City of National City
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
1. At a regular meeting of the City Planning
Commission on April 28, 1975, said Commission unanimously
adopted a recommendation that the owners of the real
property located on 823 West 17th Street, be granted a
Conditional Use Permit upon the conditions hereinafter
stated.
2. That the City Council has received the
recommendation of the Planning Commission, and after full
and complete consideration of said recommendation hereby
grants a Conditional Use Permit 1974-6 for the operation
of a public scale at 823 West 17th Street, subject to the
following terms and conditions:
a. Entrance driveway to existing scale
shall be redesigned as shown on the drawing viewed by
the Planning Commission and City Council (received by the
Planning Department April 10, 1975) and installed under
permit and inspection by the City Engineer.
b. The proposed 3'0" high by 75'0" long
decorative block wall to screen existing scale shall be
installed abutting the westerly edge of public sidewalk.
Provided, however, said installation shall be pursuant
to the issuance of an encroachment permit by the City Council.
(1) Protective barriers shall be
installed at each end of said decorative block wall.
c. The property owner s)iall file with the
Planning Department a certified statement to the effect
that "when and if the Craft property (San Diego County
Assessor's Parcels Numbers 559-076-1 and 2) is acquired
either by purchase or lease, due consideration will be
given to routing traffic from weigh -out scale thru said
property to 18th Street."
d. Street curb between entrance driveway
to existing scale and first gate to the north shall be
painted red (No Parking).
e. Prior to City Council adoption of
resolution granting conditional use permit, the property
owner shall file with the Planning Department on acknowledg-
ment in writing stating that he is cognizant of all condi-
tions as hereinabove set forth and agrees to accomplish
conditions Number 1, 2 and 4 prior to use of the new scale.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of June, 1975.
