HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 11,847RESOLUTION NO. 11,847 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF NATIONAL CITY CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANTS-IN-AID FUNDS FOR ST. MATTHEW'S RESTORATION PROJECT (Rescinds Resolution No. 11,620) WHEREAS, the Congress under Public Law 89-665 has authorized the establishment of a National Historic Preserva- tion Grants -in -Aid Program, providing matching funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for history preservation, survey, planning, development and acquisition projects, and WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary rules and procedures governing ap- plication by local agencies under the program; and WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of applications and the availability of local matching funds prior to submission of said applications to the state; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of National City hereby: 1) Approves the filing of an application for the National His- toric Preservation Grants -In -Aid assistance for St. Matthew's Restoration project; and 2) Appoints the Mayor of the City of National City as agent of the city to conduct all negotiations, execute and sub- mit all documents, including but not limited to applications, agreements, billing statements, and so on that may be neces- sary for the completion of the aforementioned project. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of August, 1975.
