RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC HEALTH TO ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 1474
RELATING TO AN ANNUAL INSPECTION OF FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS
WITHIN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
The City Council of the City of National City,
California does hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore entered into an
agreement with San Diego County providing for the County to
carry out certain public health services in the City of National
City, including enforcement by appropriate County officials
of certain City ordinances relating to public health, and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted Ordinance No. 1474
relating to the annual inspection of food establishments and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary for the City Council
to request that the San Diego County Director of Public
Health enforce the provisions of Ordinance No. 1474;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of National City, California does hereby formally
request the Board of Supervisors to direct the San Diego
County Director of Public Health to enforce the provisions
of Ordinance No. 1474 in the City of National City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby authorize said appropriate officials and employees
to enforce said Ordinance within the incorporated area of
the City, and collect such fees as are specified therein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby certify that said Ordinance No. 1474 relating to the
annual inspection of food establishments is comparable and
compatible with the San Diego County ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of National City be, and she is hereby authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to
the San Diego County Board of Supervisors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of September, 1974.
