A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY OF
INTENTION TO SELL REAL PROPERTY AND DIRECTING
PUBLICATION OF NOTICE TO BIDDERS INVITING
BIDS FOR SAID PROPERTY
(Plaza Boulevard and Coolidge Avenue)
WHEREAS, the City of National City is the owner
of certain real property located at the Southwest corner
of Coolidge Avenue and Plaza Boulevard, known as Lots 21
and 22, in Block 118 of National City which is no longer
required for City use, and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council to
sell said property by inviting bids;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of National City that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to publish a Notice to Bidders inviting bids for
said property pursuant to Section 6063 of the Government
Code of California. The form of said Notice shall be as
contained in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
of this resolution.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of National City will receive sealed written
bids until 3:00 p.m., October 15, 1975, at which time bids
will be publicly opened and read aloud by the City Clerk of the
City of National City for the following described real property
no longer required for City use situated in the County of
San Diego, State of California:
Lots 21 and 22 in Block 118 of National City,
in the City of National City, County of San
Diego, State of California, according to Map
thereof No. 348, filed in the Office of the
County Recorder of San Diego County, October 2,
1882.
The City's ownership of said land does not include any
rights of ingress or egress to or from the property adjacent.

relinquished by deed recorded August 30, 1971 as File No.
195155, and deed recorded December 12, 1972 as File No.
331072.

1. BID FORMS AND INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
Bid Forms and Instructions to Bidders may be obtained in the
Office of the Real Property Officer, City of National City Civic
Center, 1243 National Avenue, National City, California 92050.
Bidders must use the approved bid form prepared in accordance
with the Instructions to Bidders and all addenda thereto. Bids
not submitted on the approved bid form or prepared in accordance
with the Instructions to Bidders may be rejected as informal.
2. BID OPENING PLACE
Bids will be received by the Office of the City Clerk, Civic
Center, City of National City, 1243 National Avenue, National
City, California 92050, and will be opened at the above specified
time and date in the Council Conference Room, Room No. 229 of
said Civic Center.
3. MINIMUM WRITTEN BID
$23,000.00
4. ORAL BIDS
Upon receipt and opening of sealed written bids oral bids in
increments of not less than $500.00 will be accepted from those
parties who have submitted written bids.
5. BID DEPOSIT
Each written bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the
form of a cashier's or certified check in an amount not less than
ten percent (10%) of the written bid as a guarantee that the
successful bidder will enter into an agreement to purchase the
property. All checks shall be made payable to the City of National
City. Said bid deposit of the successful bidder shall be retained
and applied to the full purchase price offered. All other bid
deposits shall be retained by the City until selection of the
successful bidder is made whereupon deposits shall be returned to
unsuccessful bidders as soon as possible. The City may retain
said deposit in the event the successful bidder to whom the award
of bid has been made fails to complete the purchase of the property
under the terms of the Notice to Bidders and Instructions to
Bidders. The City will not pay interest on any bids or deposits
received or held pursuant to this section.
6. TERMS
The terms of this sale is all cash, payable to the City of
National City.

7. COMMISSION
No commission will be paid by the City of National City in the
sale of this property.
8. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS
Any time before the time scheduled for formal bid opening, a
bidder, upon proper application and identification to the City
Clerk may withdraw his bid and bid deposit. Bids or deposits may
not be withdrawn after the time set for formal opening of written
bids.
9. EXAMINATION OF BIDS
The City reserves the right to hold and examine all bids, oral
and written, and bid deposits for a period of thirty (30) days
and/or to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities
in the bidding.
10. AWARD OF BID
The bid will be awarded by the City Council of National City.
The successful bidder to whom the award is made shall be prepared
to enter into an escrow agreement for the purchase of the property,
said purchase to be completed within sixty (60) days of the date
of bid award.
