HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 11,885RESOLUTION NO. 11,885 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE WORK OF EXCAVATION OF THE PARADISE CREEK CHANNEL ABUTTING, AND ADJACENT TO THE NORTHWESTERLY BOUNDARY OF THE E. J. CHRISTMAN BUSINESS & INDUSTRIAL PARK I REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT BETWEEN 22ND STREET AND 24TH STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA IS OF BENEFIT TO SAID PROJECT AND PROJECT AREA WHEREAS, the E. J. Christman Business & Industrial Park I Redevelopment Project, herein called "the Project" or the "Project Area", was approved by Ordinance of the City Council of the City of National City pursuant to the require- ments of the California Community Redevelopment Law, herein called "the Law"; and WHEREAS, the excavation of the Paradise Creek Channel abutting and adjacent to said Project has been recommended by the City Engineer for the proper functioning of the quadruple box culvert recently constructed by the Agency at 24th Street and Wilson Avenue within the Project; and WHEREAS, said work of excavation is now being designed for the Redevelopment Agency of the City of National City by Charles W. Christensen and Associates, Civil Engineers, San Diego, California and is proposed to be advertised publicly for bids to be received by the Redevelopment Agency in the near future; and WHEREAS, Section 33445 of the Law provides for payment for all or part of such publicly owned structure, facility or improvement, the cost of which is proposed to be paid by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of National City from its Special Tax Allocation Fund; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of National City hereby finds and determines that the work of excavation of the Paradise Creek Channel abutting and adjacent to the Northwesterly boundary of E. J. Christman Business & Industrial Park I Redevelopment Project between 22nd Street and 24th Street within the City of National City, California is a publicly owned structure, facility or improvement of benefit to said Project and Project Area.
