RESOLUTION APPROVING FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
FISCAL 1975-76 OPERATING AGREEMENT AS APPROVED
BY NATIONAL CITY RESOLUTION NO. 11,788 BETWEEN
THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AND THE SAN DIEGO
TRANSIT CORPORATION
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of National City that the First Amendment to Agreement
between the City of National City and the San Diego Transit
Corporation for Public Transportation Services, 1975-1976,
on file in the office of the City Clerk is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of October, 1975.
ATTEST:
IONE MINOGUE CAMPBELL
CITY CLERK
Deputy
FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AND SAN DIEGO TRANSIT
CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
1975 - 1976
Reason for Amendment
The original agreement for FY 76 service, as previously
approved, was subject to a reduction reflecting an equi-
table application of the newly available UMTA (Section 5)
operating support funds. A systemwide formula was
adopted by the Comprehensive Planning Organization on
September 15, 1975 which provides for a credit of
$0.240494 per mile to be applied to the gross cost per
number of estimated annual miles as of August 1, 1975,
and is subject to review and adjustments based on
actual miles operated at the conclusion of the contract
year.
In the event service is requested in addition to and
exceeding the original number of miles, it is under-
stood that there are no additional federal funds avail-
able this fiscal year for a credit on such excess
mileage.
The gross cost per mile has been established upon the
adoption of the FY 76 budget. This budget was amended
to reflect a reduction in operating costs of $554,824
and the elimination of the depreciation cost. It is
recognized that, if operating costs increase substan-
tially due to unforseen circumstances, the gross cost
per mile calculations may be revised and further amend-
ments to this agreement may be negotiated.
