RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE
AND CLOSE UNNECESSARY STREETS AND ALLEYS LOCATED
WITHIN THE E. J. CHRISTMAN BUSINESS & INDUSTRIAL
PARK I, REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA
The City Council of the City of National City,
California, hereby declares its intention to vacate and
close, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division
9 of the Streets and Highways Code of California, unnecessary
streets and alleys located within the E. J. Christman
Business & Industrial Park I, Redevelopment Project Area,
situated in the City of National City, County of San Diego,
State of California described as follows:
All of the streets, avenues and alleys lying within
the following described parcel of land:
All those portions of National City, in the City of
National City, County of San Diego, State of California,
according to Map thereof No. 348 filed in the office of
the County Recorder of San Diego County, October 2, 1882
together with those portions of Bahia Vista, in the City
of National City, County of San Diego, State of
California, according to Map thereof No. 1815, filed
in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County,
December 19, 1924; together with those portions of
National Avenue lying within Quarter Sections 152 and
153 of Rancho de la Nacion in the City of National City,
County of San Diego, State of California, according to
Map thereof No. 166 by Morrill, filed in the office
of County Recorder of San Diego County, May 11, 1869,
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline
of 22nd Street, 80 feet wide, with the centerline of
National Avenue, 100 feet wide; thence along the
centerline of said 22nd Street South 72°16'45" West
1420.73 feet; thence South 17°43'15" East 40 feet to
an angle point in the boundary line of the land described
in deed to the City of National City recorded December
11,1959 in Book 8041, Page 495 of Official Records;
thence along said boundary line South 22°00'57" West
122.92 feet to a tangent 200 foot radius curve concave
Easterly; thence Southerly along the arc of said curve
138.87 feet through an angle of 39°47'03"; thence tangent
to said curve South 17°46'07" East 438.04 feet to a
point in the Southerly line of 24th Street, 80
feet wide; thence along said Southerly line North
72°18'11" East 281.59 feet to an angle point in
the boundary line of the land described under
Parcel 16 of the Final Order of Condemnation, a
copy of which was filed for record in Book 3356,
Page 425 of Official Records; thence along said
boundary line South 17°41'49" East, Record South
18°12'24" East 10 feet to a point in the arc of
a 350 foot radius curve concave Southerly; thence
Westerly along the arc of said curve 111.58 feet
through an angle of 18°15'57"; thence tangent to
said curve South 54°02'14" West 110.71 feet,
Record South 53°32'36" West 110.99 feet to
the beginning of a tangent 450 foot radius
curve concave Northerly; thence Westerly along
the arc of said curve 143.46 feet through an
angle of 18°15'57"; thence tangent to said
curve South 72°18'11" West 75.23 feet, Record
South 71°47'36" West 75.75 feet; thence South
63°35'49" West 132.07 feet, Record South
63°04'55" West, to a point in the centerline
of the alley lying in Block 168 of said Map
No. 348; thence along the centerline of the
alley in Block 168, 167, 166, 165 and 164
of said Map No. 348, South 17°43'34" East
1281.12 feet to a point in the arc of a
curve concave Northerly having a radius of
382.24 feet, a radial line of said curve
bears North 37°27'43" West to said point;
thence Southeasterly along the arc of said
curve to and along the centerline of the
20 foot easement, for railway purposes as
granted to the San Diego and Arizona Eastern
Railway by deed recorded May 14, 1965 as
Document No. 87439 of Official Records, a
distance of 226.10 feet through an angle of
33°53'28"; thence tangent to said curve and
along said centerline South 86°25'45" East
61.55 feet, Record South 87°16'20" East,
to the beginning of a tangent 347.55 foot
radius curve concave Northerly; thence
Easterly along the arc of said curve 129.07
feet through an angle of 21°18'40"; thence
tangent to said curve North 72°15'35" East
38.07 feet to the Northeast corner of land
described in Deed to Herbert Williams, et
al, Recorded July 29, 1965, as File No.
135471; thence North 17°44'25" West, Record
North 18°35'West 10 feet to the most Southerly
corner of land described in Deed to Bahia
Vista Development Corporation, Recorded
August 10, 1965, as File No. 142249; thence
along the Southerly line of said land North
72°15'35" East 758.77 feet to the Southeasterly
corner of said land; thence along the Easterly
line thereof being along the centerline of
Hoover Avenue, formerly 2nd Avenue, according
to said Map No. 348, North 17°44'14" West
279.97 feet to the Northerly line of said
Bahia Vista; thence along said Northerly
line North 72°17'57" East 290.32 feet to
the Westerly line of Roosevelt Avenue,
formerly 1st Avenue, according to said Map
No. 348; thence South 17°44'03" East along
said Westerly line 329.73 feet to the
centerline of 29th Street according to said
Map No. 348; thence along said centerline
North 72°15'57" East 380.13 feet to a point
in said centerline of National Avenue; thence
Northerly along said centerline to the point
of beginning.
Excepting therefrom 24th Street and said
National Avenue.
Time for hearing any and all persons interested
in or objecting to' theproposed vacation is hereby set
for 7:45 p.m., September 10, 1974, in the City Council
Chambers in the Civic Center in the City of National City,
California.
The City Engineer of the City of National City,
California, is hereby directed to post notice of the
passage of this Resolution and the time and place of hear-
ing in accordance with law.
