RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ORDER TO
VACATE AND CLOSE 17TH STREET BETWEEN CLEVELAND
HARRISON AVENUES
(Scrap Disposal, Inc.)
WHEREAS, on May 28, 1974, a hearing was had
pursuant to Resolution No. 11,471 to determine whether
17th Street between Cleveland and Harrison Avenues,
situated in the City of National City, County of San
Diego, State of California, more particularly described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein as
though set forth in full, should be vacated.
WHEREAS, the City Council at said hearing, found,
from all evidence submitted, that said street is unnecessary
for present or prospective public street purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are respect-
fully authorized and directed to execute and attest an Order
of Vacation of the above described street.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to cause a certified copy of subject order to be recorded in
the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, pur-
suant to Section 8324, California Streets and Highways Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August, 1974.

All that portion of Harrison Avenue (formerly Ninth Avenue) adjacent
to Blocks 271 and 272 and 273 lying between the Westerly prolongation
of the Northerly line of Lot 7 in said Block 271 and the Westerly'
prolongation of the Southerly line of Lot 10 of said Block 273 and
also all that portion of Seventeenth Street adjacent to Blocks 273 and
274 lying between the Southerly prolongation of the Westerly line of
said %,lock 273 and Northerly of the centerline said Seventeenth Street
and Lasterly of the Northerly prolongation of the Easterly line of

Reserving therefrom the following easement to the CALIFORNIA AMERICAN
WATER COMPANY:
Beginning at a point on the Easterly side of Harrison Avenue 6.00
feet Southerly of the centerline of 15th Street, closed RES 7030,
and Harrison Avenue, said point being the TRUE:POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence Westerly 40.,00 feet and parallel to the centerline of 15th
Street; thence Southerly 20.00 feet along the Westerly side of
Harrison Avenue; thence Easterly 40.001eatand parallel to the center-
line of 15th Street; thence Northerly 20.00 feet along the Easterly
side of Harrison Avenue to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
Reserving therefrom the following easement to the PACIFIC TELEPHONE
AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY:
The Northerly 20.00 feet of that portion of 17th_Street lying between
Blocks 273 and 274 in National City subdivision, Map No. 348 filed for
record in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County.
Reserving therefrom the following easement to the SAN DIEGO GAS AND
ELECTRIC COMPANY:
The Southerly Half of that portion of Seventeenth Street lying adjacent
to the Northerly line of Lot 22, Block 274 of National City, according
to Map thereof No. 348, filed October 2, 1882, in the Office of the
County Recorder of San Diego County, California.

The City of National City, by authority of
Resolution No. 11,557 duly adopted on August 6, 1974 by
the City Council of the City of National City, hereby
orders the vacation of 17th Street between Cleveland and
Harrison Avenues (Scrap Disposal, Inc.), situated in the
City of National City, County of San Diego, State of
California more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein as though set
forth in full.
