RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY OF
INTENTION TO SELL REAL PROPERTY AND DIRECTING
PUBLICATION OF NOTICE TO BIDDERS INVITING
BIDS FOR SAID PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of National City is the owner
of certain real property located at the northeast corner of
30th Street and "A" Avenue no longer required for City use,
and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council to
sell said property by inviting bids;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of National City that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to publish a Notice to Bidders inviting bids for
said property once each week for four consecutive weeks.
The form of said Notice shall be as contained in the Exhibit
A attached hereto and made a part of this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of November, 1974.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of National City will receive sealed written bids until 3:00 p.m.
January 'g,1975,at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud by the
City Clerk of the City of National City for the following described real property
no longer required for City use situated in the County of San Diego, State of
California:
Lots 1 through 20 inclusive in Block 2 and the Easterly 10.00 feet of
"A" Avenue and the Westerly 40.00 feet of "B" Avenue closed to public
use in Budd Villa Tract being in the City of National City, State of
California, according to Map thereof No. 1067 filed in the Office of
the Recorder in the County of San Diego, June 19, 1907.
EXCEPTING therefrom those portions dedicated for public street
purposes by document recorded October 27, 1967 as File No.
168030 and 168031 described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Easterly line of National
Avenue with the Northerly line of the Southerly 40.00 feet of 10
Acre Lot 6, Quarter Section 152, as shown on said Map of Budd
Villa Tract, said intersection being also a corner in the Boundary
of the City of National City; thence Northerly along said Easterly
line of National Avenue to the point of tangency of a 36.00 foot
radius circular arc, concave Northeasterly, which is tangent to
the Easterly line of National Avenue on the West and tangent on
the South to a line parallel with and 40.00 feet Northwesterly,
measured at right angles to Line "A", as hereinafter described;
thence Southerly and Easterly along said 36.00 foot radius
circular arc to the point of tangency with said parallel line;
thence along said parallel line to its intersection with the
Easterly line of the Westerly Half of said 10 Acre Lot 6, being
also the center line of "B" Avenue as shown on said Map of Budd
Villa Tract; thence Southerly along said Easterly line to its
intersection with the Southerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 6, said
point being also a corner in the Boundary of the City of National
City; thence Westerly along said Southerly line to its inter-
section with the Easterly line of the West Half of the West Half
of said 10 Acre Lot 6, being also along the Boundary of the
City of National City; thence Northerly along said Easterly
line and along said Boundary 40.00 feet to a corner in said
Boundary; thence Westerly along a line parallel with and 40.00
feet Northerly, measured at right angles to the Southerly line
of said 10 Acre Lot 6, being also along the Boundary of the
City of National City to the Easterly line of National Avenue
and the point of beginning; Line "A" being described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Easterly line of National Avenue,
distant thereon 80.00 feet Northerly of the Southerly line of
said 10 Acre Lot 6; thence Northeasterly in a straight line to
the intersection of the Southerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 6
with the Easterly line of the West Half of said 10 Acre Lot 6,
said point of intersection being also the intersection of the
centerline of "B" Avenue with the center line of Thirtieth Street.
1. BID FORMS AND INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS
Bid Forms and Instructions To Bidders may be obtained in the Office of the
Real Property Officer, City of National City Civic Center, 1243 National Avenue,
National City, California 92050. Bidders must use the approved bid form prepared
in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Bids not submitted on the approved
bid form or prepared in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders may be rejected
as informal.
2. BID OPENING PLACE
Bids will be received by the Office of the City Clerk, Civic Center, City of
National City, 1243 National Avenue, National City, California 92050, and will
be opened at the above specified time and date in the Council Chambers, Room 201
of said Civic Center.
3. MINIMUM WRITTEN BID
$35,000.00
4. ORAL BIDS
Upon receipt and opening of sealed written bids oral bids in increments of not
less than $500.00 will be accepted from those parties who have submitted written
bids.
5. BID DEPOSIT
Each written bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a cashier's
or certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the written bid
as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into an agreement to purchase
the property. All checks shall be made payable to the City of National City. Said
bid deposit of the successful bidder shall be retained and applied to the full
purchase price offered. All other bid deposits shall be retained by the City
until selection of the successful bidder is made whereupon deposits shall be
returned to unsuccessful bidders as soon as possible. The City may retain said
deposit in the event the successful bidder to whom the award of bid has been made
fails to complete the purchase of the property under the terms of the Notice to
Bidders and Instructions to Bidders. The City will not pay interest on any bids
,received or held pursuant to this section.
6. TERMS
The terms of this sale, is all cash, payable to the City of National City.
7. COMMISSION
No commission will be paid by the City of National City in the sale of this
property.
D. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS
Any time before the time scheduled for formal bid opening, a bidder, upon
proper application and identification to the City Clerk may withdraw his bid
and bid deposit. Bids or deposits may not be withdrawn after the time set for
formal opening of written bids.
9, The City is requiring development of this site by the successful bidder.
10. EXAMINATION OF BIDS
The City reserves the right to hold and examine all bids, oral and written, and
bid deposits for a period of thirty (30) days and/or to reject any and all bids and to
waive any informalities in the bidding.
