HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 11,113RESOLUTION NO. 11,1.13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY APPROVING THE SALARY PLAN, ESTABLISHING PERSONNEL CLASSIFICATIONS AND ADOPTING SALARY SCHEDULES FOR THE 1973-74 FISCAL YEAR WHEREAS, the City Manager has submitted his recom- mendations for a salary plan for the 1973-74 fiscal year, and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered said recom- mendations and is desirous of setting competitive and equitable salary schedules for the mutual benefit of the City of National City and its employees; NOW, THEREFORE the City Council of the City of National City does hereby resolve as follows: 1. That the salary schedules and classification plan as contained in Sections 1 and 2 of the attached Exhibit "A", be and are hereby adopted, and the rates therein set forth are hereby fixed as the salary for each class of City service effective July 1, 1973. 2. That a salary differential of 5% for fire pre- vention work in the Fire Department in lieu of overtime is herewith granted. 3. That a salary differential of 10% for sworn personnel assigned to the Detective Division in the Police Department is herewith granted, for which 5% is in lieu of overtime and 5% is for a clothing allowance. 4. That a salary differential of 15% for police liaison duties in the Police Department is herewith granted. 5. That a salary differential of 5% for "crew chief" field supervisory duties in both the Sewer Division and the Street Division of the Public Works Department is herewith granted. 6. All terms of the "Memorandum of Understanding" approved by the City Council on June 26, 1973, are incorporated in this Resolution. PASSED AND ADOPTED this loth day of July, 1973.
