HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 11,010RESOLUTION NO. 11,010 RESOLUTION GRANTING ZONE VARIANCE PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 962 (Z-3-72, 2202 Orange Avenue, Camblin) The City Council of the City of National City does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows: 1. That practical difficulties, unnecessary hard- ship, and intent of cation of a result inconsistent with the general purpose and Ordinance No. 962 would occur through strict appli- the provisions of said Ordinance to that certain real property hereinafter described. 2. That a Petition requesting a blanket variance has been filed pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Ordinance No. 962 and said Petition complies with all the requirements of said section. 3. That the National City Planning Commission did hold a hearing on said Petition and did recommend to the City Council that a variance be granted. 4. That the granting of a variance with reference to the property hereinafter described will not defeat, but rather will carry out the general intent and purpose of. the National City Zoning Ordinance, will provide for the public safety and welfare and will administer substantial justice. 5. That a variance from the provisions of said Ordinance No. 962 be and hereby is granted with reference to allthe certain real property situated in the City of National City, California, more particularly described as follows: Lot 1 of Block 3 Homecrest Villas in the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of California according to Map 1148, excluding the Westerly 265 ft. 6. That the variance hereby granted is as follows: Reduce the required 5 foot exterior side yard setback to 2 feet, 5 inches at the Northeast corner, and 3 feet, 7 inches at the Northwest corner of an existing move -on residential structure at 2202 Orange Avenue (proposed Euclid Avenue Extension), R-4, Multiple Family Residence Zone, subject to the following conditions: A. City Council approval of oversize driveway. B. Installation of curb, gutter and sidewalk on Orange Avenue frontage; or, City Council approval of deferral, upon recommendation of the Planning Commission. C.. Installation of permanent paving for one- half the street width on 22nd Street and on Orange Avenue; or, City Council approval of deferral, upon recommendation of the Planning Commission.
