RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED COMMERCIAL
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT PURSUANT TO
ORDINANCE NO. 1077
(No. 10 - La Lanterna Pizza House)
The City Council of the City of National City,
California, does hereby find, determine, order and resolve
as follows:
1. At a regular meeting of the City Planning
Commission on September 25, 1972, said Commission unanimously
adopted a recommendation that the owners of the real property
more fully described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, be granted
a Limited Commercial Planned Development Permit upon the con-
ditions hereinafter stated.
2. That the City Council has received the recommen-
dation of the Planning Commission, and after full and complete
consideration of said recommendation hereby grants a Limited
Commercial Planned Development Permit upon the following terms
and conditions:
a. The applicant (Lessee) shall file with the
Planning Department an acknowledgement in writing, stating
that he is cognizant of all conditions as herein set forth
and agrees to accomplish same. (Acceptance form available
in the Planning Department)
b. The proposed pole sign (free standing) shall be
located within the front yard area of the site, in an approx-
imate line with the easterly prolongation of the northerly
line of the building; and,
(1 ) Sign area shall not exceed six (6) feet
by eight (8) feet, 48 square feet.
(2 ) Height of sign shall not exceed ten (10)
feet above top of parapet wall.
(3 ) All electrical distribution service wires
shall be placed underground.

(4) Sign shall be positioned to be primarily
viewed from Plaza Boulevard and East Eighth Street, and shall
not .encroach over public property.
(5) Sign shall be illuminated only thru the
use of non —flashing, indirect or internal lighting reflecting
only upon those properties on which light source is located.
c. A building permit shall be obtained for the
proposed freestanding pole sign and existing facade face
signs.
d. Existing wall signs, painted on thenorth and
south sides of the building shall be removed.
e. All signs shall be maintained in accordance with
the maintenance standards set forth in the Sign Ordinance
#1315.

That portion of Lot 2 of 0. D. Arnold Estates, Unit No. 1, as shown on Map
3700, recorded in the County Recorder's Office of San Diego County, Cali-
fornia August 23, 1957, described as follows:
That portion of said Lot 2 lying easterly of the following described line;
begin at the most southerly corner of said Lot 2, thence North 89° 53' 00"
West along the southerly line of said lot 125.00 feet to the true point of
beginning; thence North 19° 22' 15" West to an intersection with the north-
erly line of said lot.
