HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 10,892RESOLUTION NO. 10,892 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING TO FILE APPLICATION OF EXEMPTION FOR THE .CITY. OF NATIONAL CITY FROM THE COASTAL PROTECTIVE .ZONE WHEREAS, Proposition 20, a State Initiative measure, was adopted by the voters on November 7, 1972, and WHEREAS, this new .law amends the State Public Re- sources Code by adding a number of new land use regulations for a certain "coastal zone", and WHEREAS, the affected area in the City of National City includes that land lying between the "mean high tide line" and a parallel line 3,000 feet inland therefrom or more specifically, that area extending from approximately Tidelands Avenue to approximately National Avenue, and WHEREAS, said law also provides for the organization of both a "Statewide" and a "Regional" Commission to administer these new regulations, and WHEREAS, Section 27201(f) of the State of California Public Resources Code describes the "San Diego Coast Regional Commission for San Diego County"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City that adopted by the voters on November cedures are hereby adopted: pursuant to Proposition 20, 7, 1972, the following pro- 1. The City Planner is hereby directed to prepare and file a request for "exclusion"pursuant to Section 27104 of the California Resources Code to include all property within the "permit area" except Navy land, and except the Paradise Creek Slough.
