RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION WITH THE CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON
CRIMINAL JUSTICE FOR GRANT TO IMPROVE AND EXPAND EXISTING LAW
ENFORCEMENT COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the California Council on Criminal Justice may consent
to review for possible funding the project submitted by the City of
National City, California, referred to as National City Law Enforce-
ment Communications Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA:
1. That the Mayor of the City of National City, is directed to
execute and submit to the California Council on Criminal Justice on
behalf of the City of National City, the application for grant for
law enforcement purposes.
2. That in the event the California Council on Criminal Jus-
tice consents to fund the above project, the City of National City
agrees to accept the grant and designates the City Manager to exe-
cute on behalf of the City of National City the contract for the
grant for law enforcement purposes.
3. That the applicant agrees to provide the required matching
funds to said project.
4. That grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to
supplant ongoing law enforcement expenditures.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL
CITY, CALIFORNIA, this 23rdday of May , 1972 by the following
vote, to -wit:
AYES: Camacho, Pinson, Reid, Waters
NAYS: none
ABSENT: Morgan
