RESOLUTION WAIVING REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION
OF SIDEWALK AT 901 WEST 24TH STREET
(Georgia Pacific Corp.)
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of National City that the application of Georgia Pacific
Corp. for deferral of the installation of sidewalk at
901. West 24th Street is granted subject to the following
conditions:
1. The filing with the Planning Department of
the City of National City of a covenant running with the
land, providing:
a. The property owner will not protest the
installation of any of the required improvements under a
1911 Improvement Act program whether initiated by the prop-
erty owners or the City; and,
b. The property owner will install said im-
provements in conjunction with an overall improvement pro-
gram of the area whether initiated by the property owners
or the City.
2.. Said document shall be filed with the Planning
Department prior to final inspection and/or the issuance of
a certificate of occupancy by the Department of Building
and Housing, City of National City. (Re Building Permit
#9995, issued 5-1-72, authorizing interior addition)

COVENANT RUNNING WITH LAND
This COVENANT is made by GEORGIA-PACIFIC CORPORATION,
hereinafter referred to as "OWNER".
WHEREAS, Georgia-Pacific Corporation is the owner of
that certain real property located in the City of National
City, County of San Diego, State of California, described as
follows:
That certain irregular shaped parcel of land in
the City of National City, in the County of San
Diego, State of California, being a portion of
the terminal grounds of the California Southern
Railroad Company - predecessor in interest of
The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company
as said terminal grounds are shown on Map of Na-
tional City, California filed October 2, 1882, as
Map No. 348, in the office of County Recorder of
San Diego County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the easterly line of Haffly
Avenue - 80 feet wide - as described in easement
dated September 25, 1953 to City of National City,
recorded June 7, 1954 in Book 5261, Page 180 of
official records of said county, said point being
distant South 19°02'30" East - bearing assumed
for purpose of this description - along said easterly
line 1169.92 feet from the southerly line of Nine-
teenth Street - 80 feet wide - as shown on said
Map No. 348, said point of beginning also being
the intersection of said easterly line with a line
that is parallel with and distant southerly 384.96
feet measured at right angles from the southerly
line of that certain 6.127 acre parcel of land as
described in deed recorded January 7, 1954 in Book
5105, Page 133 of official records from The Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company to Lyon Van and
Storage Company; thence North 71°00'00" East along
said parallel line 339.99 feet to a point in a line
parallel with and distant easterly 340.00 feet meas-
ured at right angles from said easterly line of
Haffly Avenue, last said parallel line also being
the southerly prolongation of the easterly line of
said 6.127 acre parcel thence south i9°02'30 East
along said parallel line 325.56 feet - record
325.58 feet-; thence South 15°21'02" East 74.60 feet -
record South 15°21'30" East 74.57 feet to a point in
the northerly line of Twenty-fourth Street 80 feet
wide as shown on said Map No. 348; thence South
71°00'00" West along said northerly line of Twenty-
fourth Street 335.20 feet to a point in said Easterly
line of Haffly Avenue; thence North 19°02'30" West
along last said easterly line 400.00 feet to the point
of beginning.
WHEREAS, said owner desires to be excused from the
legal requirement to install sidewalk at 901 West 24th Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration for the granting of
a deferral to install said improvements by the City Council of
the City of National City, said owner covenants for himself
and his heirs, successors, assigns, executors and administrators
as follows:
1. The filing with the Planning Department of the
City of National City of a covenant running with the land,
providing:
a. The property owner wi11 not protest the
installation of any of the required improvements under a
1911 Improvement Act program whether initiated by the prop-
erty owners or the City;•and,
b. The property owner will install said im-
provements in conjunction with an overall improvement pro-
gram of the area whether initiated by the property owners
or the City.
2. Said document shall be filed with the Planning
Department prior to final inspection and/or the issuance of
a certificate of occupancy by the Department of Building and
Housing, City of National City.
Said Covenant shall be run with and be a burden on
the within described real property.
