PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION OF LEGISLATIVE BODY
UNDER "SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITATION
AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931"
("N" Avenue, "M" Avenue, "L" Avenue and 26th Street,
Assessment District No. 171)
The City Council of the City of National City does
hereby resolve as follows:
That certain improvements are proposed to be done and
made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district
hereinafter described in the City of National City, California.
In connection therewith said City Council hereby finds and de-
termines as follows:
(1) The nature of the proposed improvements consists
of excavate, build curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, asphalt
concrete pavement and base, drainage construction and acquire
right-of-way and any other work auxiliary to any of the above
and which may be required to carry out the same.
(2) The location and extent of the proposed improve-
ments will involve the construction of the described improve-
ments upon the following described public streets and public
ways within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district
hereinafter described, to wit: "N" AVENUE, "M" AVENUE, "L"
AVENUE AND 26TH STREET, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 171.
(3) The boundaries of the district of lands proposed
to be specially assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said
proposed work and improvement are as shown upon a map on file
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City,
which said map indicates by a boundary line the territory to
be included in the proposed assessment district, and which said
map governs for all details as to the extent of the district;
said map is designated "MAP OF PROPOSED BOUNDARIES OF ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT NUMBER 171" for the improvement of "N" Avenue, "M"
Avenue, "L" Avenue and 26th Street.
(4) The City has budgeted the sum of $16,706.51 from
its funds for this project, as a contribution towards the cost
of said work. The entire remaining cost of proposed improve-
ments shall be assessed against the benefited property.
(5) The statute under which it is proposed to con-
duct proceedings for the said work is the Improvement Act of
1911 of the State of California, with Improvement Bonds to be
issued as authorized under the provisions of said Act.
(6) The proposed work to be done is described upon
the plans and specifications which are on file with the City
Clerk of the City of National City, and said plans and speci-
fications are hereby referred to for all particulars relative
thereto and are open to inspection by anyone interested.
