RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PROPOSITIONS SPONSORED BY
COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS FOR BOND ISSUE
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego provides services
to all citizens in San Diego County whether living in cities
or unincorporated areas, and
WHEREAS, the County faces a critical capital im-
provement program in order to continue to provide adequate
services to the people of this area, and
WHEREAS, the County has placed four bond propositions
on the ballot for the June 8 election, and
WHEREAS, Proposition A would provide $61 million
for decentralized court, detention and rehabilitation facil-
ities to speed and improve law and justice and to correct
current conditions which are crowded, uneconomic, and inef-
ficient, and
WHEREAS, Proposition B would provide $12 million
for facilities for improved and innovative programs for re-
habilitation of our youth to help cope with the rising tide
of crime; and
WHEREAS, these projects must be built, and
WHEREAS, financing through low interest bonds is
the most equitable and painless method of acquiring these
vital projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City National City recognizes the need to
approve these bond issues and urges its citizens to vote YES
on County Propositions A, B, on June 8, 1971.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of May, 1971.
