HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 10,027RESOLUTION NO. 10 r02,7, RESOLUTION DECLARING A POLICY FOR GRADING FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION IN PHASE II OF THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE E. J. CHRISTMAN BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL PARK WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of National City has reviewed the recommendation of the City Planning Com- mission to establish zoning for Phase II of the E. J. Christ- man Business and Industrial Park, and WHEREAS, it is contemplated that the issuance of build- ing permits for new construction in said park will be insti- tuted by the City of National City, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to insure that construct- ion sites in Phase II of the E. J. Christman Business and In- dustrial Park meet the criteria for grading and site elevation established in the redevelopment plan for Phase I of said park; NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED. that the City Council here- by establishes its policy for the criteria for grading and site elevation in Phase II of. the E. J. Christman Business and Industrial Park, as follows: 1. Building sites will be created in accordance with good engineering practices, on existing grading regulations of the City of National City, and so as to drain to proposed streets, existing streets, proposed drainage systems, existing drainage systems, proposed water courses, or existing water courses. The determination as to which drainage structures and/or facil- ities shall be Utilized in grading a partictar site will be made by the City Engineer, according to good engineering prac- tices. The City Engineer may require site grading which will provide drainage to existing drainage structures for the interim and for final drainage to proposed drainage structures, as the same are described in any preliminary or final redevelopment plans, and related documents, for Phase II of the redevelopment of the E. J. Christman Business and Industrial Park. 2. Whereever possible sites will be graded to a floor elevation of 10.5 feet above mean sea level. In no event will a site be graded below 9.00 feet above mean sea level. In accordance with good engineering practices, the City Engineer may require filling and/or excavating of building sites to achieve compliance with the elevation standards of this resolution.
