RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION
TO WINNER OF MUNICIPAL YOUTH RECOGNITION
AWARD

WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of National City
has successfully launched a program to recognize and acknowledge
the outstanding achievements of the young people in our com-
munity, and
WHEREAS, thisbeneficial program has received the
wide acclaim and support ofvarious public spiritedcitizens
and organizations throughout the City becaus;e.it stresses ac-
complishments rather than gives added emphasis to the problems
and grievances of our youth, and
WHEREAS, NANCY ANN HOKENSON has been chosen the win-
ner of the MUNICIPAL YOUTH RECOGNITION AWARD for meritorious
achievements worthy of this particular honor and distinction;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of National C.i.tyhereby commends and congratulates
NANCY ANN HOKENSON as the deserving recipient of this coveted
award, hoping others are inspired to meet the challenge it
represents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of May, 1970.
