RESOLUTION COMMENDING SOUTH BAY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
FOR PRESERVATION OF GRANGER HALL
WHEREAS, the Granger Hall represents a significant
memorial to National City's colorful past, and
WHEREAS, the preservation of Granger Hall will pro-
vide a fitting facility in which to conduct civic cultural
and educational events, and
WHEREAS, the South Bay Historical Society has
asserted great efforts efforts on behalf of the people of
National City to preserve the Granger Hall as a fitting his-
torical monument to the early days of National City and the
South Bay;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of National City commends the South Bay Historical Society and
its members and officers for their diligence in saving Granger
Hall from destruction and preserving it for future generations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of November, 1969.
