HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 9866RESOLUTION NO. 9866 RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK (Arcadia Place and Pleasant Lane, Assessment District No. 169) WHEREAS, on the 27th day of May, 1969, the City Council of the City of National City passed its Resolution of Intention No. 9833 to order certain work to be done and improvements to be made on ARCADIA PLACE AND PLEASANT LANE, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 169 pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911, and WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly published, and notice of its adoption was duly posted and mailed, all in the time, form and manner as required by law, and WHEREAS, this City Council had duly received and considered evidence oral and documentary concerning the jurisdictional facts in this proceeding and concerning the necessity for the contemplated work and improvement and the benefits to be derived therefrom, and said City Council has now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City, California, does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows: 1. That the public .interest and convenience re- quire the said improvement and the City Council hereby orders that the work and improvement, as set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 9833 adopted on the 27th day of May, 1969, and in the plans and specifications therein re- ferred to, be done and made, and that all protests against said work or improvement, if any, be and hereby are overruled. 2. That the boundaries of the assessment district, and the grades to which said work and improvements are to be constructed, shall be those s.et forth and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 9833, and in the plans and speci- fications therein referred to, reference to which is hereby made for all further particulars. 3. That the time hereby fixed for receiving sealed proposals or bids for the doing of said work and making of said improvements herein ordered is the 30th day of July, 1969, at the hour of 3c00 p.m., and the City Clerk is hereby ordered to give notice inviting such sealed bids in the time, form and manner provided bylaw. All pro- posals or bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk and shall be opened, and examined and declaredby said City Clerk at a public meeting in Room 103 in the Civic Center of National City, California, at the time and date aforesaid; and said City Clerk shall report the results of the bidding to the City Council at the next regular meeting after the opening of the bids.
