RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING GENERAL PREVAILING RATE SCHEDULE
OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS
Supersedes Resolution No. 9745
WHEREAS, a study of the general prevailing rate of
per diem wages and of holiday work, including employer pay-
ments for health and welfare, pension, vacation and similar
purposes, in the City of National City, for each craft, class-
ification or type of workman needed to execute public works
contracts for the City of National City, has been made, and
WHEREAS, the applicable wage rate established by
collective bargaining agreements and such rates as may have
been predetermined for Federal public works within the locality
and in the nearest labor market area have thereby been ascer-
tained, and
WHEREAS, where such rates do not constitute the rates
actually prevailing in the locality, further data from labor
organizations and employers or the employer associations con-
cerned, including the recognized collective bargaining repre-
sentatives for the particular craft, classification or type of
work involved have been considered;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of National City as follows:
1. That based upon the reports and recommendations
made to it, the City Council ascertains and de-
termines that the prevailing rate for each craft,
classification or type of workman needed to execute
public works contracts for the City of National
City is as hereinafter set forth in Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and made a part hereof;
2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby directed
to cause to be published such prevailing wage rate
scheduled one time in the National City Star -News,
a newspaper published twice a week in said City,
and of general circulation;
3. That by reference to this resolution by number,
the City Council may establish the schedule of
prevailing rate of per diem wages for public works
contracts awarded by the City Council of the City
of National City for work performed for each craft,
classification, or type of workmen needed to ex-
ecute such contracts, including contracts awarded
pursuant to special assessment proceedings; and
4. That until such time as the determination herein
made is superseded by resolution of this Council
such prevailing rate of per diem wage schedule,
or so much thereof as is applicable to the work
to be performed under the particular contract,
shall be included as a specification in all.

OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY WORK: Not less than one and one-half times
the preceding rates of per diem wages. Holidays shall be those
recognized in the collective bargairing agreement applicable to
the particular craft, classification or type of workman employed
on the project.
It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is
awarded, and upon any subcontractors under him to pay not less
than the said specified rates to all workmen employed in the
execution of the contract.
SUPPLEMENTAL GENERAL PROVISIONS
Schedule of occupational classifications and minimum hourly wage
rates as required under paragraph B-15 of the General Provisions
as provided for under the provision of the California Labor Code,
the City Council of the City of National City has determined the
prevailing rate of per diem wages for the locality to be as above:
