HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 9616RESOLUTION N0. 9616 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE WILSON AVENUE BETWEEN 8TH STREET AND 1OTH STREET, AND 9TH STREET AND 10TH STREET WEST OF WILSON AVENUE The City Council of the City of National City does resolve as follows: 1. The City Council of the City of National City, California, hereby declares its intention to vacate and close, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of California, those portions of Wilson Avenue between 8th :Street and loth Street, and 9th Street and loth Street West of Wilson Avenue described as fol- lows: All of Wilson Avenue (formerly Fifth Avenue) lying between the Southerly line of Eighth Street and the Northwest- erly line of California State Highway XI-SD-2-NAT. C. as shown on the Map thereof, Sheet No. 11, on file in the offices of the State Division of Highways; ALSO, all of Ninth Street between the Westerly line of Wilson Avenue and the Westerly line of the San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railway Company right-of-way, being also the Easterly line of Taft Avenue (formerly Sixth Avenue); ALSO, all of Tenth Street between the Westerly line of Wilson Avenue and the Westerly line of the San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railway Company right-of-way, being also the Easterly line of Taft Avenue (formerly Sixth Avenue); RESERVING EASEMENTS over, under, along and across those portions of the above namedstreets described as follows: the Westerly 15 feet of the Easterly 150 feet, measured from the Westerly line of Wilson Avenue, of said Ninth Street; ALSO, the Westerly 15 feet of the Easterly 150 feet, measured from the Westerly line of Wilson Avenue, of Tenth Street; ALSO, the Westerly 50 feet of the Easterly 68 feet of Wilson Avenue; ALSO, the Northerly 12 feet of the Southerly 40 feet of Tenth Street between the center line of Wilson Avenue and the Westerly line of the Easterly 190 feet of said Tenth Street, measured from the center line of Wilson Avenue. 2. Time for hearing any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby set for 8:00 p.m., July 16, 1968, in the CityCbuncil Chambers in the Civic Center in the City of National City, California. 3. The City Engineer of the City of National City, California is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this Resolution and the time and place of hearing in ac- cordance with law.
