HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RESO 9629RESOLUTION NO. 9629 RESOLUTION ADOPTING SALARY SCHEDULES FOR 1968-69 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of National City that the salary schedules hereto attached and marked "SALARY SCHEDULE 1968-69" and "PROPOSED SALARY SCHED- ULE AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR: RECREATION PERSONNEL - PART TIME AND POOL PERSONNEL - PART TIME" be and are hereby adopted, and the rates therein set forth are hereby fixed as the salary for each class of City service effective July 1, 1968 and until such time as this Resolution may be amended by further action of the City Council. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the police officers assigned to the Detective Division will receive 5% addition- al pay in lieu of overtime and Fire Department personnel as- signed to the Fire Prevention will also receive 5% addition- al pay in lieu of overtime. The raise listed would still require local employees to work for less money than is paid for equal work by other municipalities. There has been no shortage of applicants for local employment at the previous rate. If all other employees receive added remuneration, how- ever, I believe the pool personnel should be included for morale purposes.
