RESOLUTION GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
TO GOLDEN ARROW DAIRY AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 9627
The City Council of the City of National City does
hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
1. That Resolution No.9627 be and is hereby
rescinded.
2. At a regular meeting of the City Planning Com-
mission on August 12, 1968, said Commission unanimously adopted
a recommendation that the owners of the real property located
at 3460 Highland Avenue, be granted a Conditional Use Permit
upon the conditions hereinafter stated.
3. That the City Council has received the recom-
mendation of the Planning Commission, and after full and complete
consideration of said recommendation hereby grants a Conditional
Use Permit for the installation of four gasoline pumps, subject
to the following conditions:
a. Detailed construction plans and plot plan,
including all elevations, to be submitted to the City Engineer
of the City of National City for approval prior to the issuance
of any permits.
b. Detailed construction plans and specifica-
tions to be submitted to the Department of Building and Housing
of the City of National City for approval prior to any con-
struction.
c. The proposed remodel of the existing dairy
store will comply with all existing ordinances of the City of
National City.
d. That the installation of curbs, gutters and
sidewalk be deferred. Said period of deferral shall not ex-
ceed two (2) years from the date of issuance. The deposit
of security in the form of cash or bond in an amount of suf-
ficien.t to

ceed the City Engineer's estimate of the cost of the improve-
ments plus ten (10) percent of the costs thereof.
e. That all existing areas of landscape upon the
subject premises be maintained and kept in a growing and healthy
condition. Upon completion of the proposed Interstate Freeway
54, provisions shall be made for the permanent installation of
the required ten (10) foot landscaped setback.
f. A canopy shall be installed over the proposed
four (4) gasoline pumps, incorporating the same color scheme as
the remainder of the facility, and of such
size as to completely
cover an automobile while parked at the pump island.
a. A competent attendant shall be on duty at all
times during operation of said gasoline pumps. Said attendant
shall be stationed within the dairy store and shall not be an
employee stationed within the other structures on the subject
property.
h. A two-way communication s-ystem shall be in-
stalled and operated at all times said pumps are in operation.
i. There shall be no display or advertising with-
in the required setback,
except for: One (1) free standing sign
the base of which shall be located at least ten (10) feet from
the front property line, and projection shall not exceed one-
hald of said distance from property line.
j. The ten foot strip of land required for the
complete widening of Highland Avenue be dedicated at this time.
