DEDICATION OF CITY OWNED
PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES
(28th Street and "A" Avenue)
WHEREAS, the City of National City is the owner
of all that certain property situated in the City of National
City, County of San Diego, State of California, more parti-
cularly hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, the City of National City desires that
said property be dedicated for public street purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of National City, that the following described
property be and hereby is dedicated for public street pur-
poses:
Parcel 1: The Southerly 30 feet of the West Half
of the West Half of 10 Acre Lot 4, Quarter Section 152 of the
Rancho de la Nacion according to the map thereof by Morrill.
No. 166 filed in the office of the Recorder of said San Diego
County, May 11, 1869, being also the Southerly 30 feet of the
Northerly 40 feet of Twenty-eighth Street as dedicated by the
Subdivision of Lot 4, Section 152, National Ranch, commonly
known as Fairchild and Kimball's Subdivision according to the
Map thereof No. 9 filed in the office of the Recorder of said
San Diego County, January 3, 1882, and also as dedicated by
the subdivision of the West One Half of the West One Half of
10 Acre Lot 4, Quarter Section 152, Rancho de la Nacion, com-
monly known as Eaton's Subdivision, according to the Map there-
of No. 473 filed in the office of the Recorder of said San
Diego County, January 25, 1888;
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Easterly 30 feet thereof, and also
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Westerly 40 feet thereof.
Parcel 2: The Northerly 30 feet of the West Half of the
West Half of 10 Acre Lot 5, Quarter Section 152 of the Rancho
de la Nacion according to map thereof by Morrill No. 166 filed
in the office of the Recorder of said San Diego County, May 11,
1869, being also the Northerly 30 feet of the Southerly 40 feet
of Twenty-eighth Street as dedicated by Smith and Plante's Sub-
division of Westerly 465 feet of 10 Acre Lot 5 in said Quarter
Section according to the Map thereof No. 1043 filed in the office
of the Recorder of said San Diego County, April 11, 1907,
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Easterly 30 feet thereof, and also
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Westerly 40 feet thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Parcels 1 and 2
shall henceforth be known as "Twenty-eighth Street".
ALSO: The Easterly 30 feet of the West Half of
the West Half of 10 Acre Lot 5, Quarter Section 152 of the
Rancho de la Nacion according to the map thereof by Morrill
No. 166 filed in the office of the Recorder of said San
Diego County, May 11, 1869, being also the Easterly 30 feet
of the Westerly 40 feet of "A" Avenue as dedicated by Smith
and Plante's Subdivision of Westerly 465 feet of 10 Acre Lot
5 in said Quarter Section according to the Map thereof No. 1043
filed in the office of the Recorder of said San Diego County,
April 11, 1907.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said street shall hence-
forth be known as "A" Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is here-
by authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this
resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder
of San Diego County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of November, 1967.
